Rukhi sukhi kha keThanda pani peeDekh parai choparriNa tarsaaien jee

Eat your own unbuttered crumbs,With thanks for what you gain,Let not other’s buttered breadLead you astray or cause you pain.

Sakkar khand nivat gurrMakhiyon majha dudhSabhe vstu mithiyanRab na pujan tudh

Farid, sugarcane, candy, and honey’s sweet thrillMolasses and buffalo milk can’t match God’s will.All these treats may delight, but they can’t compare,To the sweetness of God, beyond all worldly fare.
