Poor Sparrows

“Crows gathering more than hunger asked.”

August 30, 2025 2 min read Poetry

I spilled some beans, for birds to come and feast.

Squirrels took their share;the worms their humble due.

Then came the crows, gathering more than hunger asked, spoiling what they left behind.

The sparrows only watched, too small to fight, too hungry to fly.
