The village Annually held a contestto see who could buildthe tallest chimney.

Each year,the smoke rose further.People called it progress.

I choseto keepmy roof low.

They laughed, said my houseWouldn't even show upOn the map.

Maybe.But when the sky goes that color;my children still knowwhat blue looks like.
